Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at AWS Truepower. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly maintenance on solar monitoring systems to ensure consistent and accurate data collection.
  • Uphold the highest level of communication as the first point of contact for equipment in the field.
  • Ensure all equipment is level and clean on a weekly basis.
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair services for low-medium complexity issues.
  • Ensure there is no debris obstructing the system.
  • Confirm the system is secure and hasn't been tampered with.

Requirements:

  • No solar experience is required, but interest in the field is a plus.
  • Training will be provided remotely via phone and video, with potential onsite training when possible.
  • Must be able to take instruction remotely throughout the length of the contract term.
  • Must use own transportation to and from remote SMS location (4WD highly preferred).
  • Willing/able to walk to and from site, typically no more than 1/4 mile in one direction.
  • Must own or have access to a gas or battery-operated weedwhacker for occasional grass cutting, additional compensation will be provided.
  • Required to climb and work comfortably from a 6 or 8-foot ladder (provided).
  • Required maintenance of equipment utilizing levels, screwdriver, and other hand tools (provided).
  • Must have demonstrated computer literacy, including ability to utilize Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word) and upload documents and photos to our SharePoint website with reliable internet.
  • A smartphone is required to take site photos as well as to communicate with AWS Truepower staff while on site in an event of an emergency, etc.
  • Required to treat all applicable information as confidential.

Compensation:

$150 per visit
