About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team in AMER-East. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning of critical infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, security, and quality.

Your primary focus will be on coordinating multi-discipline teams, reviewing design documentation, and developing commissioning plans to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems. You will work closely with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and Amazon's design requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate commissioning activities for new construction and special projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Review and provide feedback on design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and vendor submittals, to ensure alignment with Amazon's design standards.
  • Develop and review commissioning documentation, such as test plans, scripts, and reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential issues, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Provide comprehensive weekly reporting on project status, lessons learned, and program improvements to drive continuous quality enhancement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, installation, or commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 5 years of relevant discipline work experience.
  • High technical competency in mechanical or electrical systems, with the ability to learn and be trained in the other discipline.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in high-stress environments and maintain calm and respectful interactions with multiple teams.
