Job Summary

This position is contingent on a contract award.

As a Licensed Clinical Counselor, you will provide direct support to organizations and their employees through the delivery of assessment, consultation, education, and triage services. You will utilize your knowledge of federal regulations to assist organizations in handling employee concerns and problems effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide employee and management consultation related to specific personal problems and workplace/management concerns.
  • Conduct critical incident response services, EAP assessments, and short-term counseling, EAP orientations, customer webinars, critical incident response, and health and wellness trainings.
  • Manage caseloads and other tasks, including timely case documentation, to meet quality, qualitative, and quantitative performance expectations.
  • Provide information and referrals to appropriate levels of care and community resources as needed.
  • Participate in activities that improve SBU and/or client performance, excellence, and culture.
  • Assume responsibility for identifying individual and/or team operational challenges and inefficiencies and recommending possible continuous improvement plans to support department and company mission.
  • Analyze and present issues in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Develop effective working relationships with peers within and across organizational lines and support team members and participate in team activities, including trainings, to assist in building a high-performance team.
  • Take responsibility for own development and stay current on skills and techniques needed to better serve members and help Magellan achieve its business and operational goals.
  • Adhere to all contract requirements, such as qualification, performance standards, meetings, trainings, and etc., as well as comply with team standard operation procedures and company policy.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience after receiving the graduate degree is required.

Clinical training must include instruction on chemical dependency, mental health, and brief therapy.

Must understand workplace issues, how businesses function, and a fundamental understanding of employee/employer relationships.

Must be capable of acquiring an understanding of EEO rules, ADA in the workplace, FMLA, and Drug-Free Workplace Requirements.

Must be able to provide accurate client assessments, including level of risk, substance abuse and dependency, job performance issues, and refer to appropriate levels of care.

Competent in crisis intervention.

Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in solution-focused, brief therapy in an outpatient setting.

Strong customer service skills are required.

Excellent training and listening skills are necessary.

Ability to interact effectively at all levels, both within the company and with external customers.

Adjusts well to new situations and changing priorities.

Comfortable with ambiguity and stress while handling a variety of assignments.

Maintains a positive, achievement-oriented attitude and consistently accomplishes expected objectives.
