POSITION OVERVIEW:
Chipton-Ross is currently seeking a Shot Peen (From) Operator for a direct opportunity in the aerospace sector.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role is strictly ONSITE and involves working with complex aerostructure components utilized in commercial, business, and military aircraft globally.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will engage in the manipulation of various metals, employing techniques such as peening, saturation peening, and hot forming, alongside hand forming methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and operate a range of fabrication machinery, including shot peen creasing, hot forming, and arbor presses, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Calculate the necessary bending areas to compensate for springback and apply metal tags to parts as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to complete assigned duties effectively.
  • Utilize equipment such as lift trucks, cranes, and scooters for the loading, movement, unloading, and positioning of tools, parts, or materials.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency to manage labor charging, access work instructions, and document work completion.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in shot peening or saturation peening, or two years of related metal-forming experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED is required.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with the requirement to work any shift, including potential overtime as necessary.
