Service Lead Overview

Become a vital part of our dynamic team at Big Lots Stores.

As a Service Lead, you will be instrumental in guiding our service personnel to deliver exceptional customer experiences and uphold operational standards consistently.

  • Oversee, mentor, and direct the Service Team in all aspects of cashiering, front-end operations, and merchandise recovery.
  • Provide constructive feedback to store management regarding team performance.
  • Ensure adherence to customer service benchmarks and program requirements, contributing to the overall success of the store.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the primary Manager on Duty as needed, leading floor staff and ensuring that store standards are upheld.
  • Accountable for compliance with the Hazardous Waste program.
  • Evaluate performance trends and collaborate with store management to meet store objectives and targets.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is mandatory.
  • Preferred minimum of two years in retail management.
  • Essential decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work up to 40 hours weekly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic proficiency in English, mathematics, and computer skills is required.
  • All qualified candidates will be evaluated for employment.
  • Hourly compensation will meet or exceed the minimum wage standards.
