Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Business Office Customer Service Representative I. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience at Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and clerical support to our stores, including processing customer orders and returns, verifying inventory status, and scheduling pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Process invoices, payments, and balance cash drawers to ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with guests regarding availability of merchandise, delivery, and customer pick-up services, as well as overdue payments on accounts.
  • Assist and follow-up with customers to resolve their questions, concerns, and issues related to purchases or direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Ensure all required customer and merchandise information is accurately documented in our computer system.
  • Assist with training and development of other associates and comply with all applicable company health, safety, and quality standards, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with Word and Excel, and working knowledge of computer operating systems.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service or retail experience.

Work Environment

This role is performed in an office environment within a store, requiring normal amounts of sitting or standing and average mobility to move around the office area.
