Position Overview: A prominent national law firm is in search of a skilled litigation paralegal to provide essential support to a team of three litigation attorneys. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in litigation, specifically on the defense side.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, file, and serve legal documents, primarily at the state level, with some federal filings.
- Manage and track internal and court deadlines effectively.
- Offer direct assistance to three attorneys in their litigation efforts.
- Utilize eFiling systems for legal document submissions in both state and federal courts.
- Assist with the organization and management of case files as needed.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records for attorneys.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 5 to 20 years of paralegal experience, with a minimum of five years focused on defense litigation.
- Proficient in iManage software.
- Must demonstrate a coachable attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Experience in summarizing medical records is advantageous.
Practice Areas: Toxic Torts, Public Entities, General Litigation
Compensation: Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, complemented by additional benefits including a generous holiday schedule and a parking stipend of $125.
Work Environment: The position entails a 7.5-hour workday with flexible hours, primarily onsite, with typical working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
