Position Overview

Quality Carriers, Inc. (QC), based in Tampa, FL, stands as North America's foremost bulk liquid chemical transporter. With a robust network of over 100 terminals and facilities, we specialize in the transportation of a diverse array of chemical products while delivering exceptional value-added logistics services to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs on tractors and trailers. Execute annual/systematic inspections (trailers) as mandated, ensuring compliance with Federal FHWA standards.
  • Utilize a yard hostler truck for the movement of trailers within the facility and shop as necessary.
  • Procure and manage parts and supplies as required.
  • Comply with all established safety (OSHA) and environmental regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote equipment longevity and ensure workplace safety.
  • Employ welding tools as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of vehicle and equipment mechanics, including diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Willingness to understand and implement tractor and trailer maintenance protocols, DOT regulations, and company policies.
