We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Specialist I to join our team at Child and Family Service. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing intensive home-based services to families in need.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct intake/assessment and service plans with families to identify their unique needs and develop personalized support plans.
- Provide education and guidance on child development, stress management, parenting, and family life skills to promote healthy family dynamics.
- Link families with community resources and services to ensure they have access to the support they need.
- Work collaboratively with families to develop and implement strategies to prevent out-of-home placement and promote reunification.
- Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field from a recognized accrediting agency.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field from a recognized accrediting agency with 2 years of experience in Intensive Home-Based Services.
- Basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing.
- Preferred experience in working with children and families, including parents/caregivers who have harmed their children or threatened their children with harm.
- Knowledge of child growth, development, and behavior.
- Knowledge of positive parenting practices.
- Knowledge of case management and advocacy practices and techniques.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with families of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
