Job Title: Labor Relations Specialist

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking a skilled Labor Relations Specialist to join our team in the Labor Relations Unit. The successful candidate will handle specialized work in public labor relations, providing consultation and guidance to CCHCS on union-related issues and serving as a representative of CCHCS in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze labor relations issues and provide expert advice to management and staff.
  • Develop and implement labor relations strategies to promote positive employee relations and resolve conflicts.
  • Represent CCHCS in labor negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement policies and procedures related to labor relations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as industrial relations, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in labor relations, human resources, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
