Job Title: Ophthalmic Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at UW Hospital and Clinics. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our eye care team.

Job Summary:

The Ophthalmic Assistant will be responsible for performing visual testing, providing a safe and comforting atmosphere for patients, and working in a fast-paced team environment. This is a part-time position, 90% FTE, with a flexible schedule that includes days and evenings, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual testing in both preventative and specialty eye care
  • Provide a safe and comforting atmosphere for patients of all ages
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience
  • Preferred: Completed an accredited Ophthalmic/Optometric program, Certified Medical Assistant program, or Licensed Practical Nurse program
