Key Responsibilities of the Kitchen Sanitation Specialist

As a Kitchen Sanitation Specialist at Willamette View, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by scraping, soaking, and organizing them for washing.
  • Operating an automatic dishwasher and performing manual washing as needed.
  • Assisting with basic food preparation, including cleaning and peeling fruits and vegetables.
  • Collecting kitchen waste and recycling, ensuring proper disposal in designated receptacles.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of bus carts, tables, walls, and other areas as required, including sweeping and mopping.
Qualifications

What are the requirements?

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
  • A Food Handler Certification is required within 30 days of employment.
  • Consent to and successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
