Job Title: Senior Manager, Assay Product Innovation

As a Senior Manager, Assay Product Innovation, you will play a critical role in bringing our product vision to life by translating customer needs into prioritized innovation roadmaps and staffing the core teams bringing the products to market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish leadership in cross-functional NPD core teams and ensure adherence to market and product requirements from pre-concept tollgate and through product development cycle.
  • Gather and represent the voice of customer and voice of business on NPD core teams and lead market discussions at monthly Product Planning Group (PPG) meetings to assess and manage risk and tradeoffs.
  • Perform market and customer insight research to deeply understand customer needs, challenges, and translate these together with a cross-functional team into diagnostic solutions.
  • Co-develop and present business cases for New Product Development (NPD) by developing the file and driving process, defining market requirements, and writing product definitions.
  • Contribute to rationalized roadmap creation and maintenance, Incremental Pipeline Value (IPV), and Innovation Growth Equation metrics aligned with Strategic Plan.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral Degree in field with 3+ years of work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of translating customer needs into product requirements and ensuring product designs meet customer needs.
  • Experience in developing and presenting business cases to top management and leadership.
  • Role requires frequent travel of up to 30% and may include some international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the molecular diagnostic testing and instrumentation marketplace is highly desired.
  • Strategic marketing and/or product management experience is preferred.
  • Communicates effectively and strong team player/collaborator with various internal constituents, customers, and other stakeholders.
