The Alexa Customer Journeys team is on a mission to deliver personalized, proactive assistance that empowers customers to achieve more in their daily lives. We're seeking a seasoned product strategist with technical depth and industry expertise to drive impact across the tech, science, design, and engagement challenges of defining and scaling proactive notifications and messaging for Generative AI use cases.

This is a horizontal product role spanning multiple delivery orgs in a functional product team, central to the delivery of a high-quality Generative AI-based service. The right candidate will possess an understanding of engaging with science and engineering teams to deliver foundational technologies and customer experience at a high quality bar.

A day in the life of this role involves cutting through ambiguity, applying mechanisms, delivering requirements, and engaging deeply with science, engineering, feature, and UX teams to deliver bar-raising, personalized customer experiences. You'll own the customer experience, with customer satisfaction as your ultimate success measure, and engage with science and engineering teams daily. You'll also update senior leadership on progress weekly.

This is a high-velocity, high-ambiguity problem space that requires scrappiness and the ability to drive teams with clarity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining a clear vision, strategy, and requirements for customer scenarios.
  • Developing and managing mechanisms that ensure high-quality at speed and scale.
  • Representing the voice of the customer through external and internal research and mapping to customer needs.
  • Working with engineering, applied science, and UX/design to advance the state of the art.
  • Driving adoption, engagement, and experimentation of your products.
  • Collaborating and partnering closely across Amazon to amplify proactive experiences.

Basic qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight.
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.

The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market, dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
