Role Summary: This position is accountable for overseeing production personnel within a manufacturing and assembly setting. Responsibilities include planning and delegating tasks, suggesting enhancements in production techniques, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to company policies is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, assign, and oversee workflow for production staff.
  • Ensure production targets and quality benchmarks are achieved.
  • Promote safe work practices among all employees.
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Coordinate the initiation, cessation, and transitions of production processes.
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and employee morale to attain favorable outcomes.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular updates to management.
  • Address performance-related issues and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Engage in scheduled supervisory and management discussions.
  • Prepare activity analyses upon request.
  • Review and approve employee timekeeping records.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficient reading, writing, and mathematical skills are essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is necessary.
