Job Title: Staff Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Civil Engineer to join our team at GEI Consultants. As a Staff Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil engineering projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop civil engineering projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement design
  • Convert field information to final design drawings
  • Prepare technical memos, reports, construction plans, and specifications for various civil design projects
  • Develop basic grading plans from existing survey data
  • Prepare permit, bidding, and documentation civil drawing sets
  • Prepare construction and repair estimates from final designs
  • Direct and coordinate the assembly of final plan sets from multiple discipline work
  • Field observation of construction activities
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering is required
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Must have passed the FE exam
  • 2-5 years of civil design experience with civil design, pavement, geotechnical, or roadway projects
  • Experienced with standard analysis programs, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft office programs, and surface water management programs desired
  • GIS and modeling is a plus
  • Willingness to travel and perform field work on civil, pavement, and geotechnical investigations and construction projects
