We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Civil Engineer to join our team at GEI Consultants. As a Staff Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil engineering projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement design.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop civil engineering projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement design
- Convert field information to final design drawings
- Prepare technical memos, reports, construction plans, and specifications for various civil design projects
- Develop basic grading plans from existing survey data
- Prepare permit, bidding, and documentation civil drawing sets
- Prepare construction and repair estimates from final designs
- Direct and coordinate the assembly of final plan sets from multiple discipline work
- Field observation of construction activities
- BS in Civil Engineering is required
- Master's degree is preferred
- Must have passed the FE exam
- 2-5 years of civil design experience with civil design, pavement, geotechnical, or roadway projects
- Experienced with standard analysis programs, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft office programs, and surface water management programs desired
- GIS and modeling is a plus
- Willingness to travel and perform field work on civil, pavement, and geotechnical investigations and construction projects
