Key Responsibilities:
MV Transportation is in search of a
Dispatcher
to oversee daily route operations and report directly to the Dispatch Supervisors. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with client-defined procedures and adherence to company standards. The Dispatcher will engage in daily communication with drivers and clients, while also organizing activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely service delivery.
Responsibilities include tracking and reporting sign-in/sign-out times, ensuring routes are executed punctually, and relaying service-related issues to Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as necessary.
Job Duties:• Handle client inquiries and relay issues to drivers and Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as needed.
• Monitor communication channels, including radio and telephones, to ensure service quality.
• Foster positive employee morale and uphold high standards of customer service.
• Oversee daily driver sign-in and sign-out processes.
• Assign trips to drivers to ensure equitable distribution across all routes.
• Assess daily system performance and participate in operational performance reviews.
• Document instances of late or canceled routes and communicate these to Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers as appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
• A minimum of one (1) year of prior experience as a Dispatcher is preferred.
• At least two (2) years of experience in Customer Service is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with Trapeze software is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
• Professional phone etiquette is essential.
• Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
Compensation:
Starting pay rate is between $22 - $24/hour.
