Department Overview:
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Loans Middle Office team, responsible for:

  • Managing the entire lifecycle of primary closing Loan transactions across various Business Groups, collaborating closely with Investment Banking, Global Markets, Legal, Client Onboarding, and Treasury.
  • Reviewing Credit Agreements for operational details and establishing deals in Loan IQ.
  • Reconciling and addressing past due items promptly.
  • Investigating discrepancies and efficiently resolving sensitive operational challenges.
  • Coordinating with Client Onboarding to fulfill KYC requirements for new clients.
  • Operating in a dynamic environment to oversee the full portfolio and closing of PAR and Distressed LSTA loan trades.
  • Managing the trade portfolio across multiple business lines, ensuring all trades are tracked from Trade Date to Settlement while maintaining a clean open trade aging profile and striving for reduced settlement times.
  • Drafting Loan Trade Closing documentation, including Trade Confirmations, Transfer Documents, and Pricing Letters when not executed via electronic platforms.
  • Collaborating with Traders, sales teams, and Legal (both internal and external) regarding proposed amendments to Trade documents.
  • Engaging directly with clients, internal partners, and external Agents to resolve issues and ensure seamless trade closures.
  • Preparing and reviewing settlement calculations, including delayed compensation, cost of carry, and benefits of commitment reductions.
  • Working alongside the Servicing Team in Mumbai to manage all aspects of bank debt operations, including lifecycle events processing, trade closings, cash and position reconciliation, and corporate actions.
  • Providing first-level account service by closely collaborating with business teams to address queries.
Required Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge:
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Bank Debt is essential.
  • Experience in primary Loan Closing and servicing (both bilateral and agency).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial, as this role demands effective communication and prioritization of time-sensitive issues with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail is necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $100,000 to $140,000
  • Familiarity with Loan IQ is preferred.
