Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Nutrition Services Lead to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our patient dining services, retail/catering operations, and food production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to food service staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily shift operation of various sections, including patient dining services, retail/catering operations, and food production, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Staff Development: Train and develop staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge, and provide opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
  • Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Communication: Collaborate with department leaders, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of food services operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2 years of call center experience or 2 years of food service experience with 1 year of healthcare food services experience preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated skills in customer service, critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization. Basic computing and math skills required.
  • Certifications: ServSafe certification required within 6 months of hire.
Work Environment
