Pre-Authorization Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pre-Authorization Coordinator to join our team at the Community Health Centers of Burlington. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the pre-authorization process for medications prescribed by primary care and psychiatric providers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for the facilitation of all aspects of the pre-authorization process.
  • Support the mission of the Community Health Centers by ensuring timely and accurate pre-authorization of medications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Utilize strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, and computers.
  • Electronically file information and retrieve electronic files quickly and accurately.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Prior experience with pre-authorization is strongly preferred.
