Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled Information Technology Auditors to join our team at the Associate and Senior levels. As an IT Auditor, you will play a critical role in improving information security and technology operations within state government.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct information technology audits to identify areas of potential risk and make recommendations to state agencies to improve operations.
  • Perform analysis of operations and data, interpret and apply various industry standards, and make recommendations to state agencies.
  • Document analysis and findings in audit workpapers, compose summaries and conclusions, and present results to agency personnel and legislative committees.
  • Assess risks to various state programs and systems, evaluate controls in place to mitigate those risks, and conduct individual and group interviews with state agencies.
  • Extract and examine database information, evaluate information technology controls, and conduct automated systems testing.
  • Analyze compliance with associated laws, rules, policies, industry standards, and relevant best practices.
  • Actively pursue certifications and continuing professional education in line with the division's needs and personal career development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, public administration, mathematics, business, management, or related field.
  • Relevant two-year technical degree in a discipline related to information technology will also be considered.
  • Experience in information systems auditing, analysis of IT control frameworks, use of data analysis software, quantitative analysis, management and development of information systems, and information security will be given more consideration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an audit team, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
