Office Specialist 2, Correctional Rehabilitation Professional

The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a highly skilled Office Specialist 2 to join their team at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, Oregon. This exciting opportunity is part of the Correctional Rehabilitation section, where you will provide essential support services to Correctional Counselors and the Correctional Rehabilitation Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general office support functions, including word processing, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and data entry of confidential information.
- Coordinate with county courts, Department of Justice, Department of Human Services, Child Welfare, special housing units, and other community stakeholders to interpret court documents and schedule telephonic appointments.
- Manage and maintain office manuals, prepare reports, and create documents.
- Work with adults in custody and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Two years of general clerical experience, including keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
- An associate degree in any field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a law enforcement or correctional environment.
- Certified in CJIS/LEDS (Criminal Justice Information System/Law Enforcement Data System).
This position is located inside the Oregon State Penitentiary and works in close contact with adults in custody. You will be working with computers for an extended period and may be exposed to hostile situations or incidents.
