Job Summary:

The Parking Attendant provides exceptional customer service to guests at Intermountain Medical Center. This key role involves greeting guests, parking and retrieving vehicles in a prompt and safe manner, and providing wheelchair and way-finding assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively approach and greet guests with a smile, providing prompt and responsive customer service.
• Speak clearly and professionally, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Open doors and assist guests entering and leaving the property.
• Provide direction and information to guests regarding the hospital campus, including services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest.
• Assist guests with car doors and offer mobility assistance as needed.
• Escort and/or transport guests to their destination within the hospital, as required.
• Safely navigate through the parking lot, maintaining a lookout for hazardous situations and driving defensively.
• Record information on parking stubs/tickets and maintain log sheets/reports.
• Ensure car keys are collected at the end of the day and taken to the designated after-hours collection point.
• Monitor and maintain the safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, reporting any hazards or issues to the manager/supervisor.

Requirements:

• Possess a current driver's license with no outstanding citations or warrants.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to follow work instructions and procedures.
• Be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and operate manual and standard transmissions, as well as small and large vehicles.
• Communicate effectively in a positive and upbeat manner, following work instructions and procedures.
• Stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of the shift, and be able to reach other areas of the hospital on a timely basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Secondary language proficiency.
• Six months of experience in a similar role at a four- or five-star hotel/resort.

• Intermountain Medical Center
• Murray, UT
• 40 hours per week
