Position Objective:

Under the guidance of the Golf Course Manager, this role is essential for managing the sales of merchandise in the pro shop, processing payments, registering players, and coordinating tee times for golfers.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Manage incoming calls, record messages, and handle tee time bookings.
  • Register golfers and allocate their tee times, ensuring all players complete the daily log.
  • Collect payments for green fees, merchandise, rentals, and pro shop sales, providing receipts for all transactions.
  • Ensure the pro shop is orderly and clean at all times.
  • Maintain accurate daily records and reports.
  • Exhibit courteous behavior towards all patrons.
  • Adhere to the safety protocols and guidelines established by the Golf Course.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments, including Buffalo Run Casino & Resort.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least six months of experience in a cashier or retail sales role.
  • Basic understanding of golf and its regulations.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary Gaming License.

Work Environment:

This position requires strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills. The role involves considerable walking, bending, lifting, or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Work is conducted in a casino setting with fluctuating lighting, air quality, noise levels, and temperature conditions.
