Position Summary:
The role of Acquisition Policy Analyst is situated within the Department of Defense's Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO) Acquisition Office. The selected candidate will be instrumental in analyzing and interpreting acquisition policies, regulations, and procedures pertinent to digital and artificial intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines concerning digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions, ensuring comprehensive understanding and adherence within the organization.
  • Offer guidance and support to acquisition professionals, project managers, and stakeholders regarding compliance matters, policy interpretations, and best practices associated with digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions.
  • Interpret and apply acquisition policies to inform decision-making processes, procurement strategies, and contract actions for digital and artificial intelligence projects.
  • Conduct research and remain updated on changes in acquisition laws, regulations, and industry best practices, providing recommendations and updates to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation to regulatory agencies and oversight bodies as required.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and program management teams to formulate and implement acquisition strategies that mitigate risks, enhance efficiency, and support project objectives.
  • Engage in the development and execution of acquisition training programs, workshops, and materials to improve understanding and proficiency in acquisition policy compliance.
  • Review acquisition documentation, including solicitations, contracts, and task orders, to ensure conformity with applicable policies, requirements, and standards.
  • Prepare documentation reviews for various materials, ensuring they are formatted correctly and free from grammatical errors.
  • Support team members in various tasks and initiatives as needed to achieve the overall mission.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess a Current/Active DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions.
  • Experience in providing guidance and support to acquisition professionals, project managers, and stakeholders on compliance issues, policy interpretations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in preparing acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation for submission to regulatory agencies and oversight bodies.
  • Experience in developing and delivering acquisition training programs, workshops, and materials.
  • Strong skills in reviewing acquisition documentation to ensure alignment with applicable policies and standards.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Capable of transforming conceptual discussions into effective presentations.
  • Highly motivated and adept at managing a demanding workload while prioritizing competing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, integrity, critical thinking, and leadership qualities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint; competent in MS Teams, Excel, and Outlook.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 to $185,000 annually, along with an exceptional benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan with company matching, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, and three weeks of paid time off.
