Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician.
- Utilize independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.
- Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
- Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations.
- Prepare procedure rooms and regularly replenish stock, including linen and related supplies.
- Analyze anatomical structures of patients, set up equipment, and perform radiologic procedures.
- May select and administer intravenous contrast media, monitoring patients for possible reactions.
- Perform all imaging procedures while demonstrating the principles of radiation protection.
- Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for procedures.
- Complete all necessary work sheets, logs, patient records, and documentation.
- Assume responsibility for teaching and educating new hires and students while maintaining own responsibilities and duties.
- Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
- Complete study indexing, including study begin, study end, and completion in the Radiology Information System.
- Review and confirm clinical protocols with radiologists before performing studies.
- Demonstrate team member standards of excellence, including AIDET, open communication, and responding in a timely manner.
- Perform all documentation in medical records and radiology information systems to support clinical and billing functions.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Must maintain required hours of continued education.
- Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible.
- Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
