We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Care Associate to join our team at Southcoast Behavioral Health. As a key member of our care team, you will provide personalized support and care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Personalized Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, snacks, hydration, and changing bed linens.
- Conduct Safety Checks: Ensure patient safety by conducting regular safety checks and supervising patients at 15-minute intervals, as needed.
- Document Patient Information: Accurately and timely document patient information in their medical record.
- Facilitate Patient Education: Engage patients in educational-rehabilitative groups, covering topics such as social skills, coping skills, anger management, and independent living skills.
- Provide Transportation: Assist with transportation for patients or coordinate with staff members as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
- Certifications: CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
