Position Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Intern to join our Mason & Hanger team for Summer 2025. The Mechanical Summer Intern will assist Mechanical/Plumbing Department engineers by incorporating marked-up drawings into CAD/BIM platforms, providing assistance with engineering calculations, and supporting tasks to aid engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform design calculations under the supervision of engineers.
  • Incorporate marked-up drawings into CAD/BIM platforms.
  • Perform selections and schedules simple equipment (e.g., fans, VAVs, GRD).
  • Assist in cost estimate preparation.
  • Assist in assembly of project submittals.
  • Comply with data protection principles while handling personal, protected, and/or Covered Defense Information on behalf of Day & Zimmermann.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in college.
  • US citizenship required. Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance.

Benefits

Our staff receives a competitive salary and 401(k). In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $19.20 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
