We are seeking a highly skilled and flexible individual to join our Ambulatory Care team as a Patient Service Representative. This role requires a team-oriented approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic, from registration to discharge
- Process prior authorizations and complete Surgery Scheduling tasks
- Support different teams and practices to cover illnesses, holidays, and leaves of absence
- Travel to UCLA Community practices in various cities, including Calabasas, Montecito, and Santa Barbara
- Ability to be highly flexible and work a variable schedule
- Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to use a PC with associated programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows
- Familiarity with authorization process and managed care programs
- Working knowledge of patient-related policies and procedures
