Job Overview

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Transport Refrigeration Installation Technician to join our team at Veterans Prime, Inc.


This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time technician to work with diesel engines and refrigeration systems in transport settings.


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, including diesel and refrigeration systems, and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing these systems.

Responsibilities

The Trainee Transport Refrigeration Installation Technician will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing diesel and refrigeration systems
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
  • Providing technical direction


Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, the candidate must have:

  • Willingness to be trained and tested for National Transport Refrigeration Certification
  • Experience with or knowledge of diesel engine or diesel technology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clean driving record


Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with troubleshooting transportation refrigeration
  • Holds Level 1 or Level 2 transportation refrigeration licenses


Candidates with experience in the following roles may also be considered:

  • Transport Refrigeration (Level 1 or Level 2 Certification)
  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Engineer Equipment Mechanic
  • Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic
  • Marine Machinery Mechanic
  • Powered Support Systems Mechanic
  • Express Lube Technician
