Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers promptly in a courteous and engaging manner.
  • Assist both walk-in and phone customers in identifying and procuring parts and accessories.
  • Highlight ongoing promotions, discounts, or new inventory to customers.
  • Process cash and credit transactions for purchases while maintaining an accurate cash register.
  • Participate in regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Keep merchandise displays well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain current customer mailing lists for promotional purposes.
  • Become proficient with the computer systems used for parts and accessories management.
  • Collaborate with Service Technicians to fulfill their parts and accessories requirements.
  • Assist technicians in identifying parts needed for specific service tasks.
  • Suggest additional parts that may be necessary for repairs.
  • Quickly process parts orders from service technicians.
  • Provide cost estimates for parts on repair orders.
  • Update the inventory management system and parts catalog regularly.
  • Receive and document incoming merchandise into inventory.
  • Inform service staff when special orders or back-ordered items arrive.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the parts department.
  • Provide parts information on repair orders to the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for the automotive industry.
  • Experience with motorcycle servicing or a strong ability to learn quickly.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of motorcycle components, including front end, suspension, and engine parts.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale systems and inventory management software.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Creative and mechanical problem-solving skills to meet customer needs.
  • Effective communication skills to relay customer requirements to technicians.

Compensation:

Estimated annual salary of $45,000.
