YU & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resource Engineer to lead our water resource projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing water resource projects, focusing on civil engineering, hydraulic modeling, water control, and stormwater treatment structures.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Support various phases of our water/wastewater design projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Technical Expertise: Prepare comprehensive reports, opinions, and recommendations based on research, analysis, and interpretation of studies, utilizing Civil3D software.
- Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and maintain positive relationships.
- Team Leadership: Lead project design efforts, and/or design team coordination, ensuring effective resource management and meeting internal and/or external deadlines.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to water resource engineering, and support the development and mentorship of staff.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, concentration in Water Resources preferred.
- Professional Certifications: PE License in New Jersey and/or New York required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in stormwater management systems, wastewater/sanitary systems, and project permitting is required.
- Technical Skills: MS Office proficiency, skilled with CAD/Design Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3d, Inroads/Openroads), and knowledge of stormwater modeling software such as CivilStorm or StormCAD.
- Soft Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, data analysis & technical problem solving, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
