Job Title: Application Engineer

Join Mueller Water Products, a leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, as an Application Engineer in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Sales support team as an Application Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing bid prices for municipal water and wastewater treatment plants within an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate and complete product quotations and proposals
  • Read product specifications and ensure proposals are accurate, complete, and definitive
  • Meet bid deadlines and provide timely and accurate proposals to customers
  • Provide support needed to resolve customer complaints and issues
  • Support and act as liaison between outside sales representatives and various manufacturing locations
  • Engage in opportunistic and add-on sales activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, technology, business, or sales-related discipline
  • Strong technical background, including reading drawings, equipment specifications, and bill of materials
  • Proven ability to initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe
