Cleveland Clinic is a world-renowned healthcare organization that values excellence and patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at our Main Campus in Cleveland.
About the Role:As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, you will provide direct nursing care to diverse populations of post-surgical patients waiting for their anesthesia to wear off. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patient health, assessing pain levels, administering medication, and maintaining up-to-date patient records. You will work collaboratively with other caregivers in the unit to coordinate patient discharge plans.
Requirements:- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing with a BSN preferred
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will also need to stand and walk for extended periods of time and work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Personal Protective Equipment:You will be required to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
