Position Overview

A Nuclear Medicine Staff Technologist will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine examinations, including general NM scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies.
  • Performing quality control on all Nuclear Medicine equipment.
  • Ensuring the safe handling of all diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Managing the safe handling of all therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Providing weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call support for after-hours emergencies.
  • Adhering to all NRC and NJDEP regulations regarding radiation safety.

Experience Requirements

Completion of clinical training through a Nuclear Medicine training program or relevant college coursework.


Educational Qualifications

Graduate of an AMA accredited program in Nuclear Medicine.


Licensure and Certification Requirements

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Current ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists License or Current CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist License.

Current NJ-NUCMED - New Jersey Nuclear Medicine Technologist License.


Special Requirements

Basic Life Support certification required. Availability for Monday through Friday as needed and on-call duties.
