We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nephrology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Phoenix Children's. The successful candidate will provide exceptional clinical care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with attending physicians to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct outpatient clinic visits for nephrology patients, providing comprehensive care and management.
- Manage patient care and coverage between clinic visits, ensuring seamless communication with families and healthcare teams.
- Perform medication reconciliation and prescription management, ensuring accurate and safe medication use.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, collaborating with pediatric urology and endocrinology teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Work collaboratively with attending physicians to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring alignment with hospital policies and procedures.
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner licensure in Arizona or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- At least one year of NP experience in pediatrics, nephrology, or dialysis, with a preference for candidates with experience in these areas.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an Accreditation Commission for Nursing (ACEN) and/or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited graduate school of nursing in Pediatric Acute care, Pediatric primary care, or Family Medicine.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association or obtained by start date.
- Current State of Arizona certification as a Nurse Practitioner or obtained by start date.
- National board certification to match area of education.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal communication, and basic computer skills.
