Faculty Diversification Internship Academic Year

Job Summary:

The Kern Community College District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the Faculty Diversification Internship position. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide instruction in a full range of discipline-specific courses, participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs, and develop and revise curriculum.

Responsibilities:

* Provide instruction in a full range of discipline-specific courses
* Participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs
* Develop and revise curriculum
* Use computer and multimedia technology
* Participate in departmental, college, and discipline-specific professional activities

Requirements:

* Pursuant to Title V, § General Authority, the governing board of any community college district may establish a faculty internship program
* Must be accepted candidates in the Bakersfield College Faculty Diversification Fellowship Program
* Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues
* Ability to develop curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
* Demonstrated ability to maintain subject matter currency
* Ability to assess student learning outcomes

Salary and Benefits:

* Fall Semester: $30.00 hourly for a maximum of ninety (110) hours
* Spring Semester: $60.00 hourly total hours vary by course assignment
