Job Summary

Barings' Global Private Finance Team is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager to lead business development, client servicing, and product development for our private credit franchises. This role will be located in Charlotte and report to the Head of Client Portfolio Management, Private Assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take lead Client Portfolio Management role within our Global Private Finance business, focusing on the distribution and management of our private credit franchises.
  • Serve as a primary business development liaison for Barings' Global Private Finance platform.
  • Communicate investment strategies internally and externally to grow assets under management in our private credit funds.
  • Provide regular updates on the global private credit market, including investment performance and market levels.
  • Participate in meetings with current and prospective clients, responding to their requests in a timely manner.
  • Attend investment team meetings and contribute to product development initiatives for the Global Private Finance business.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including fact sheets and pitch books, for relevant fund offerings.
  • Work with Compliance to approve all materials and review reporting materials for existing clients.
  • Develop Thought Leadership materials in cooperation with investment staff and Barings Marketing staff.
Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree required.
  • Strong experience in investment management or a related field, preferably in the Alternative/Private asset industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
