Customer Service Representative Opportunities I/II - Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Inc

Under the supervision of the designated management team, this role focuses on addressing customer inquiries through various channels including phone calls, in-person visits, written correspondence, and electronic communication regarding contract benefits, claims processing, and enrollment procedures, all while adhering to ORA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards. The Customer Service Representatives are expected to demonstrate professionalism, efficiency, and promptness in resolving issues to improve member and provider satisfaction and retention.

  • Delivers exceptional service to customers and business partners with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Records, investigates, and addresses inquiries from customers, business partners, and specialized groups.
  • Effectively resolves customer inquiries using the appropriate resources and tools.
  • Participates in outreach initiatives related to claims, onboarding, retention, and provider inquiries.
  • Adapts to changes, takes responsibility for issues, and engages in meetings, training, and skill enhancement for career advancement.
  • Identifies and resolves issues that affect customer and health plan experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; customer service experience is preferred for Level I.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Level II candidates must meet performance criteria, possess expertise, and provide daily support to other representatives.
  • Physical Requirements – work in a standard office setting.
