Job Description:

At Capgemini, we seek a highly skilled Senior Electrical/Hardware Design Engineer to work with our smart grid metering team. This role involves collaborating with our customers to ensure our solutions meet their needs. You will lead the development of our new products and systems that will function for decades, laying the groundwork for a balanced future. This includes participating in the design of our new products in the following applications:

  • Software-defined wireless and powerline communications
  • Embedded computing for Edge Intelligence
  • Large-scale mesh networks
  • Solid-state electricity meters
  • Development of ASICs
  • IOT devices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and validation of our SOC, high speed digital interface, NAND, LPDDR2, eMMC, and analog circuits using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and chambers.
  • Support design and projects in regulatory compliance, reliability analysis and testing, component selection, and development processes.
  • Write clear and detailed design and validation documentation and work with our manufacturing team to define tests and fixtures needed for programming, functional verification, and final tests.
  • Provide technical support for internal departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required, Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience related to development and validation of SOC, high speed digital interfaces, LPDDR, NAND, eMMC, signal integrity, ARM, DSP, power management systems, and ASICs.
  • Expertise with laboratory instruments and equipment and familiarity with CAD tools.

A good understanding of RF circuits is a plus. Electrical design and validation engineer.
