In this role, you will contribute to a team of experts providing leading-edge cybersecurity solutions to ensure secure and effective business processes for the DoS.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with enterprise teams to assess systems, provide technical recommendations, and coordinate remediation efforts based on findings.
  • Leverage multiple Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools to track vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, ensuring timely remediation.
  • Safeguard the security of diverse cloud systems from major vendors, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
  • Communicate cybersecurity recommendations to stakeholders such as system owners, tracking and verifying their remediation progress.
  • Develop and test new tools and services to enhance the effectiveness of security assessments and refine findings to minimize false positives.
  • Apply a zero-trust architecture framework to on-premises, standalone, and cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS systems.
  • Build strong relationships within the team, office, and with external stakeholders to effectively achieve mission objectives while respecting stakeholder needs and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience. An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Possess one of the following certifications: CISSP-ISSAP; CISSP-ISSEP; CISSP; Security + CE; CySA+; PPDA Agile IC; SNOW App Dev.
  • Proficiency in SIEM platform usage, such as Splunk.
  • Expertise in Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools, such as Tanium and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow SOAR platform.
  • Understanding of cloud native portals like Azure Security Center or AWS Security Hub to identify misconfigurations and security issues.
  • Strong communication skills across all media to build relationships with stakeholders and achieve mission objectives.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNA Security or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
