Crump Life Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Strategist to join our team. As an Insurance Strategist, you will play a critical role in discussing needs with and selling life, long-term care, and disability income insurance to clients and advisors of accounts supported by our Financial Institutions channel.
Key Responsibilities- Client Needs Assessment: Lead clients through discovery, including personal or business needs and goals, current financial status, and identify gaps and opportunities for insurance solutions.
- Sales and Business Development: Manage daily activities, drive sales activity, and pending business to meet sales quotas and grow revenue.
- Insurance Product Expertise: Explain to clients and advisors how various insurance products work, their differences, and advantages, including term, whole life, universal life, and variable universal life products, as well as long-term care and disability insurance solutions.
- Case Management: Complete insurance applications, take responsibility for following cases through the underwriting process, and ensure timely resolution.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience. Two years of direct life, long-term care, and disability income insurance selling experience in the field directly with clients and/or 3+ years handling inside sales helping agents sell life insurance through a General Agency or insurance carrier platform.
- Product Knowledge: Have a clear grasp and understanding of all the features and functions of most term, whole life, universal life, and variable universal life products, as well as long-term care and disability insurance solutions.
- Sales Track Record: Proven sales track record of hitting established sales quotas in the insurance industry.
- Professional Certifications: Must possess and maintain appropriate FINRA registrations (e.g., Series 6 and 63) and active Life and Health insurance license.
- Underwriting Knowledge: Knowledge of the underwriting process.
Crump Life Insurance offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and tax-preferred savings accounts, along with other voluntary benefits. Regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Crump Life Insurance offering the position.
Additionally, teammates receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays. Eligible employees may have the opportunity to participate in a deferred compensation plan and/or have an ownership interest in Crump Life Insurance in the form of profits interest or capital interest.
