The Automotive Service Specialist is tasked with performing non-technical automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire services, as well as assisting with customer transportation, parts collection, and maintaining shop cleanliness as required.
COMPENSATION:
$14-$20/hr based on experience Tool and Boot Program
- Tools and boots are retained upon completing one year of continuous employment

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and tire rotation.
Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
While executing basic services, assesses the overall vehicle condition and identifies any apparent repairs or safety issues to report to the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
Maintains shop cleanliness, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior, to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
Collects parts, supplies, tires, etc., from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
Operates the company vehicle safely and courteously, adhering to all traffic regulations.
Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles ethically, following all company and state guidelines.
Adheres to all safety protocols and reports any concerns to the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
The Automotive Service Specialist is also expected to comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
A current, valid driver's license
Possess a current or expired State Inspector License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
General understanding of under-the-hood, mechanical, and undercarriage components
Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including weekends
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
The Automotive Service Specialist will encounter moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
The work environment temperature may vary, potentially including extreme heat and/or cold based on outside conditions.
The Automotive Service Specialist must meet the following physical requirements:Stand for up to eight hours daily in the shop and walk to access various areas of the building.
Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle, or manipulate objects frequently.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to hear and speak clearly.
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus as necessary.
