Position Overview

The Family Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in delivering patient-focused, holistic primary care services. This position requires a commitment to high-quality care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care services tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Engage in the development of effective treatment strategies for patients.
  • Oversee clinical staff to ensure adherence to care protocols and responsibilities.
  • Support fellow healthcare providers and integrated care teams.
  • Maintain availability for medical inquiries from staff and patients, including after-hours support.
  • Actively engage in quality enhancement initiatives and multidisciplinary quality assurance efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with management to foster improvements in patient care delivery.
  • Participate in clinical outcome assessments and reviews.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Provide general medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician, as permitted by state regulations.
  • Prepare and submit individualized patient care plans for physician review.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend therapeutic interventions, including physical therapy and inhalation treatments.
  • Facilitate referrals to specialists or additional healthcare resources as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
  • Board Certification is mandatory.
  • Current licensure to practice in the relevant state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in promoting healthcare services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong patient interaction and communication abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Full range of motion, including the ability to assist and lift patients.
  • Vision, hearing, and speech must be within normal ranges to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
