Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Scientist to join our team at the Midwest Technology Partnership, LLC (MTP) in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves conducting laboratory experiments to develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods, with a focus on supporting ELISA method development and ensuring adherence to scientific rigor, accuracy, and compliance with corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing related to the development, validation, and transfer of bioanalytical assays, adhering to Bio-Safety Level 1 (BSL-1) protocols and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Analyze test results and accurately record data in an electronic notebook, utilizing strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prepare assay reagents, maintain laboratory equipment, and handle laboratory deliveries, ensuring a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules, test statuses, and any issues, demonstrating high ethical and professional standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific field, such as biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of the principles behind immunoassays and vaccines, with a strong foundation in laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with persistence and focus, working effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with microtiter assays, including ELISA or other immunoassays, with a strong understanding of method development, validation, or transfer.
  • Familiarity with routine testing in a QC laboratory, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate standards.
