Bakery Clerk Job Description

Festival Foods is seeking a skilled Bakery Clerk to join our team. As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a key role in creating memorable moments for our guests by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring every guest receives a high-quality bakery experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to our guests, assisting them in finding the perfect bakery items and handling special requests with care.
  • Order Taking: Take accurate orders for cakes and other custom bakery products, ensuring that every guest receives their desired item.
  • Merchandising: Package and price items, maintaining quality and minimizing waste, while replenishing bakery products to ensure availability and appealing display standards.
  • Food Safety: Ensure product freshness and presentation by rotating stock and removing outdated items, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, shelves, and the sales floor.
Requirements:
  • Customer Focus: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel.
  • Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Safety Awareness: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
