Job Summary

The Barowsky School of Business at Dominican University of California is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a course in the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience in teaching or mentoring students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a three-unit course at the graduate level, covering the day-to-day operational aspects of cybersecurity, including vulnerability and patch management, identity and access management, configuration and change management, log management, application security, data protection & privacy, data encryption, network security, asset management, endpoint security, physical security, incident management, cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics, disaster recovery and business continuity planning (DRP/BCP), and all other security operations center (SOC) functions, automation, artificial intelligence, threat intelligence, threat management.
  • Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students.
  • Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework.
  • Uphold academic performance standards and integrity.
  • Instructors are required to work with the School to complete assessments of the course for AACSB Assurance of Learning purposes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Technology, Information Security/Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
  • Professional work experience in the Information Security/Cybersecurity field.
  • Time zone is 6pm-10pm Pacific Time.
  • Must be California Resident.
  • Google Suite: Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Zoom.
  • Digital Camera.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Technology, Information Security/Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Work experience in: Threat intelligence threat management, Configuration and change management, Identity and access management (IAM), Vulnerability management, Patch Management, Log Management, Endpoint management, Security Information Event Management, Security Operations Center (SOC), Cybersecurity budgeting.
