Job Summary:

The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and functions. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and functions
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and report any defects
  • Project a professional manner to guests and team members
  • Follow proper food storage, handling, and preparation standards
  • Assist and serve guests in functions as needed
  • Assist the back of house team as needed
  • Set up and break down tables as needed

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience in banquets
  • Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Physical Requirements:

This role requires regular walking, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. It also requires frequent standing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and occasional sitting and tasting or smelling.
