Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for the successful operation of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality food products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditure for the account
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and create menus that meet the needs of our clients
  • Develop and execute catering events that exceed client expectations
  • Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with our marketing and culinary teams
Requirements
  • A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field
  • Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training
  • Catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, and the Internet
  • Ability to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
