Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to join our team at Horsham Center for Jewish Life as an Admissions Nurse. This role is responsible for supporting the Admissions Department in various activities, including pre-admission, admission, discharge, and follow-up processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate resident/patient referral and approval process.
  • Conduct tours of the facility with potential residents/patients and their family members.
  • Track pre-admission referral activity daily/weekly.
  • Assist the Admissions Manager with arrangements and confirmation of all admissions.
  • Notify departments of anticipated admission.
  • Ensure contracts are completed on a timely basis.
  • Ensure specialized equipment is ordered as indicated (reviews contract content for need to obtain prior approval from authorized payer).
  • Ensure level of care approval obtained as indicated and/or OBRA screen (PASSAR, MIMR) is completed.
  • Complete records and documentation in accordance with company policy and state and federal guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • RN or LPN license in the state of PA.
  • One or more years' experience in healthcare/insurance or commensurate education preferred.
  • Must be familiar with medical terminology.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computer.
